Congratulations to Professor Catherine Schenk on being awarded a €2.4M grant from the European Research Council (ERC). The grant will fund a research project entitled Global Correspondent Banking 1870–2000 (GloCoBank). Over the course of five years, GloCoBank will  analyse the international network of correspondent banking relationships across the 20th century. Using innovative data collection and extensive archival research, the data will seek to understand the links between various individual banks across 130 years.

The GloCoBank project will include opportunities for six postdoctoral researchers.
