We are pleased to announce that Oxford students Elizabeth Briggs and Kevin Tang have been awarded fully-funded, 4th year doctoral studentships as part of the Global History of Capitalism project for 2018-19.
Elizabeth Briggs is a DPhil student with the Oxford Centre for Maritime Archaeology, exploring the evidence for sea-borne trade provided by ancient shipwrecks.
Kevin Tang is a DPhil student with the Faculty of History, working on the economic growth of port cities and British colonial development policy.
Hosted by Brasenose College, Elizabeth and Kevin join a research community situated within the Oxford Centre for Global History. We look forward to collaborating with them during the 2018-19 academic year as they develop their contributions to the project's case study series on the Global History of Capitalism.
