I am a final-year PhD student from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, currently visiting Oxford for the academic year 2018-2019 as a “doc.mobility” fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation. My research focuses on the involvement of a transnational food company, Nestlé, in three entangled fields of international public affairs: agriculture, medicine and public health, and humanitarian relief and development aid, from the late nineteenth century to the 1960s. One of my main objectives is to show how this involvement hinged on a complex web of transnational collaborations with national and colonial governments, scientific communities, and international and humanitarian organisations. I have published articles in academic and humanitarian journals, including The Round Table and the ODI's Humanitarian Exchange Magazine.
