Professor Louis Hyman is Director of the Institute for Workplace Studies at the Industrial and Labor Relations School at Cornell University in New York. His most recent book is Temp: How American Work, American Business, and the American Dream Became Temporary (2018). He will join us at Brasenose College for a lunch seminar to discuss his research on the history of capitalism and the rise of temporary work.
